Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Whether he is photographing the powerful thoroughbreds of Kentucky as they thunder down the stretch at Churchill Downs or roaming a stark and rugged Maine coastline searching for the perfect combination of composition and light, he is at home with a camera in his hand. What started as a passionate hobby in 1980 soon blossomed into a full-time career. In 1988 Daniel had four images featured in the Kentucky Derby Museum. Work with the horse racing industry soon followed and in 1990 he was asked to be official photographer for the Kentucky Derby Festival. He held that position...
